He was born in Crowville, Louisiana to Preston Liddell Aswell and Ida Chevelier on August 20, 1937.
Homer was an electrician for 52 years with IBEW local 20. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Aswell.
Homer is survived by his two children; son Dewayne Aswell and his wife Pam and daughter Laneva Isbell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
