Sharon Lyvonne (Nunes) Hawk

Sharon Lyvonne (Nunes) Hawk, 79, passed away peacefully at 9 a.m. on November 30, 2019, surrounded by family.
She was born in Hornbrook, California, on March 21, 1940, to James H. and Helen (Capp) Nunes. It was there she met Thelma (Cole) Mitchell. Later, in grade school in Phoenix, Oregon, she met Barbara (Read) Wynn and the three remained lifelong friends.
On November 27, 1958, she married Elven "Gene" Hillman. They had two children together, Sheryl (b. 1959) and Rick (b. 1960). Gene passed away following an accident on December 28, 1972.
She is survived by her two children, Rick (Sherry) Hillman, Sheryl Johnson, one grandchild, Elven (Kasey) Hillman, and three great grandchildren, Brayden, Madison and Bethany, as well as five siblings, Pat, Dave (Marilyn), Gary, Susan and Bob and two nephews, Mike and Greg Kerr. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Jim and a son-in-law, Richard Johnson.
The family would like to give special thanks to Sharon's sister, Pat Kerr, who was her primary caregiver for several years, as well as Carrie, Sue and the team at Asante Hospice.
No service is planned. Donations may be made to Asante Hospice and Palliative Care, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, SoHumane and Friends of the Animal Shelter.
