Arthur F. Vondrick, 69, of Phoenix, the former director of the Phoenix Water and Sewers Department, died July 29, 1993. He was born in Chicago and was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran. He was a member of the American Water Works Association and Arizona Water and Pollution Control Association. In 1971, he was elected president of the Water Pollution Control Federation and in 1972 he was named Water Utility Man of the Year by the American Water Works Association. He was also active in the local chapter of the Society for the Preservation of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America. Survivors include his wife, Iva; son. Glen; and two grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, All Saints Episcopal Church, 6300 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85012. Contributions: to the church. Hansen Mortuary.

He also worked as the water and sewer director for Phoenix from 1958 to 1978. Survivors include his wife, Iva; son, Glen; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. Seventh St. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, All Saints Episcopal Church, 6300 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85012. His parents were Frank Joseph Vondrick (1886-1978) and Antoinette (Pelckan) Vondrick (1894-1966). Arthur's brother was Robert George Vondrick (1920-1975).

Arthur married Iva Odessa (Fletcher) Duval on 23 December 1977 in San Diego County, California, USA.
