Aldon was born on 23 November 1919 in Colby, Washington to Raymond Truman and Eunice Elizabeth (McDonough) Bell. This known siblings are Richard Truman, Lyle Willie, Frances Etta, Irene Jeanette and Eugene C (Buddy) Bell.

On 15 December 1941, Aldon was inducted into the United States Marine Corps. He served during World War II and was honorably discharged on 29 July 1946 as a Private.

While serving in California, on 7 April 1945, he married Marjorie Eleanor Marie Larrieux in California. They eventually divorced.

Then on 25 January 1965, in Port Orchard, Washington he married Edna K. (Kainulainen) Clark. They remained together until his death.

Just shy of his fourth year of marriage to Edna, Aldon passed away on 16 January 1969, in Bremerton, Washington. He was 49 years of age.
