======

Mrs. Amanda Randall Meece, 59, wife of J.M. Meece, died Wednesday shortly after noon at her home on East Mt. Vernon Street following an illness of several years.

She was born in this county Feb. 22, 1886, the daughter of the late Jesse B. and Jane Poynter Randall and had resided in this county her entire life. For many years she and her husband operated a boarding house here in Somerset and had made many friends who were grieved at the news of her death.

She was a kind and gentle woman, a good wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the chapel of the Denney-Murrell-Ramsey Undertaking Company, the Rev. Robert Garner officiating. Interment was in the City Cemetery. Besides her husband, Mrs. Meece is survived by a son, Chief Warrant Officer Fred Satterfield, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Wilson of Covington.

Received an edit request on October 11, 2022 to link her to Henry H. Whitaker (11563443) as her spouse. I don't think this was the Henry Whitaker she married.

The Henry Whitaker she married on March 4, 1902 was listed as Henry F. Whitaker on their marriage record. This was listed as the first marriage for both.

She then married Luther Satterfield on March 14, 1908. This was listed as a second marriage for both.

Henry H. Whitaker married Martha B. Burdine on December 5, 1902. This was listed as a first marriage for both.
