Mary Alice Jackson, 85, of Judsonia went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 2. She was born April 27, 1934, in Fayette, Ala., to the late George and Velma (Clark) Benton.
Mary was a member of Revival Church in Searcy. She loved reading her Bible. She was a woman of deep faith and truly loved the Lord. She liked to collect knick knacks, and going to the flea market. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, one son, Michael Tippy (Kristi) of Providence; and two daughters, Sharon Brackenridge of Searcy and Rhonda Tippy of Higginson; and five grandchildren, Dylan Tippy, Kane Malnar (Rebecca), Ashley Edwards (Jeremy), Delaine Brackenridge (Shalae) and Larissa Stephens (Michael); eight great-grandchildren, Tristion, Tyler, Kayne, Makayla, Kaitlyn, Anna, Micah and Kaylee; and one sister-in-law, Peggy Benton of Lepanto.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Tippy; and her second husband, Barney Jackson; son-in-law, Darrell Brackenridge; three brothers, Chelsie, Thomas and Wesley Benton; two sisters, Rosie Carmichael and Vertie Johnson; and two sister-in-laws, Dolly and Alice.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Searcy McEuen Chapel and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
