1949-2019
After a hard battle with metastasized breast cancer, Kay Elaine Bateman made her transition on December 6, 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado while in home hospice care.
Kay was born on May 29, 1949 in Pueblo, Co. to father Stanley Perkins (predeceased) and mother Georgia (Davis) Perkins. She grew up in an active, loving home surrounded by family and friends. She excelled in 4-H as a horse woman - many said she was a horse whisperer and natural born rider.
She graduated from South High School in 1967 and married the same year. In 1979 she became a mother to daughter, Jamie. She served the City and County of Denver as a Child Support Enforcement technician for over 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed country music, bowling, gardening, crafts and had a special connection to all animals. Many remember her best as being a soft spoken, kind natured, "beautiful soul". She is deeply loved and missed.
