DIXON Feb. 8 - Nelson A. Ankeny, 82, a retired farmer, died this morning at his home, 1004 North Dixon Avenue. He was born in Pennsylvania Oct. 5, 1854, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac D. Ankeny.

Mr. Ankeny is survived by his wife, seven daughters, Mrs. John Drew of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. George Pitzer of Nachusa, Mrs. Joe Karl of Hutchinson, Minn., Mrs. Harold Huff of Walkerton, Ind., Mrs. Ward Quilter of Brussels, Belgium and Mrs. Lester Paine and Mrs. Glenn Burket, both of Dixon, one son, Mark of Slayton, Minn., 23 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Wilson of Dixon and Albert of Davenport, and two sisters, Mrs. Will Lindsey of Dixon and Mrs. Kate Shaulis of Pennsylvania. One son preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the home. The Rev. L . L. Walter, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church will officiate, and interment will be made in the mausoleum at Oakwood cemetery.
