Kelby Ross Benson, 26, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019.

Kelby was born May 14, 1993 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Scott and Dwan (Wheatley) Benson.

Kelby attended Downey Elementary, Marsh Valley Middle School, and graduated from Marsh Valley High School. He was currently enrolled in the Plumbing Apprentice Program at Idaho State University. During his years in school, he participated in choir and drama and many sporting events such as soccer, football, wrestling, and his favorite of all time, basketball.

Kelby loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hiking, playing basketball, and listening to and playing good music, but his greatest love of all was being an Uncle. You could always find him entertaining, spoiling, and loving his niece and nephews. He always enjoyed playing games, eating left overs, and making others laugh. His quick wit, big smile, and hugs will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kelby was very musically talented and could play most anything by ear, teaching himself to play the guitar, ukulele, and piano. He also loved to sing and spent hours filling our home with his sweet music.

Kelby is survived by his father, Scott Benson, Downey, ID; his mother, Dwan Wheatley, Pocatello, ID; brother Matthew Benson, Grace, ID; sisters, Kortnie (Ryan) Rasmussen, Grace, ID; Morgan Benson, Pocatello, ID; Torrie Benson, Pocatello, ID; grandparents, Bruce and Darlene (Price) Wheatley, Robin, ID; Una (Stones) Benson, Downey, ID; nephews, Kaysen, Kobe, and Kane Rasmussen, Grace, ID; niece Kennedy Rasmussen, Grace, ID; numerous aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Seth T. Benson, Downey, ID.
