Rachel Henry Henry was the daughter of Matthew Henry Sr (born about 1738, Londonderry, Ireland, died abt 1785) and Jane "Jennie" Long (born abt 1740, Londonderry, died about 1785). They died relatively young (death dates a guess based on birth of their children) their burial place is unknown. They left four children, listed below in order of birth:

1. Rachel Henry Henry (believed to be buried here)

2. Elizabeth "Betty" (who married Samuel Andrews; none of their children left Ireland)

3. John (who married Rachel McMillan). John and Rachel McMillan and one son lived and died in Ulster, Ireland, but their other children, 11 in all, emmigrated to the United States. FAG memorial number for John Henry, husband of Rachel McMillan, is 191034858

4. Sally (married John Austin, no children)

Rachel Henry married a cousin, John Henry in Aghanloo, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, son of Robert and Mary Woodburn Henry), in 1787. Their first child, John Jr was born in 1788/1789. The family emmigrated to the US, first settling in Chester County, Pennsylvania, later relocating to Washington County, Ohio, eventually purchasing a farm on the Ohio River, 5 miles below Harmar (now West Marietta). Rachel, after bearing 9 children, 5 sons and 4 daughters, died in 1809. In 1811 John Henry re-married, to Margaret McNutt.
