Boardman - There will be a Memorial Service Friday at 1PM Struthers United Presbyterian Church to celebrate the life of Marilyn Ruth Brown Bennett who went to be with the Lord early Monday morning.

Marilyn was born August 14, 1926, a daughter of Philip and Grace (Libert) Hayen.

She graduated from Moosheart High School in Illinois and worked for the Youngstown Board of Education for 10 Years. She also worked as a clerk for Zayre Department Store in Florida where she resided for 30 years, before returniung to Poland in 2001.

Marilyn loved to work with crafts and was involved in many craft shows. She was very active in her church in Florida, Marilyn taught Sunday School, sung in the choir, and was involved witht he youth on Sunday nights.
Anyone who had the honor of knowing Marilyn would agree that she was a special person with incredible strength. She touched the lives of her family and friends with her love, faith, values, sense of humor and everything else that made Mailyn Ruth Bennett the amazing women that she was. Our lives are better because she was a part of them.
Marilyn called herself a "Steel Magnolia" because of everything she had to overcome in her lifetime, and that she was an inspiration whose memory will live on in our hearts forever.

She leaves a daughter Tammy (Rick) Lackor of Florida, Bonnie Bennett of Struthers, a daughter-in-law Vicki Brown of Boardman, two sons-in-law Rocky Falleti and Anthony DeRenzis both of Youngstown; 15 grandchildren, Rocco (Patty) Falleti, Joseph (Chrissy) Falleti, Liza (Sean) Bukovac, Jennifer (Cosmo) Iamurri, Anthony (Deana) DeRenzis, Andrew DeRenzis, Mary (John) Missos, Katie McQueen, John McQueen, Chris McQueen, Kristen Lackore, Ryan Lackore, Austin Lackore and Caitlan Lackore; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Denver Bennett whom she married in 1965 and died in 2004; her first husband Bob Brown who passed in 1962; two daughters Donna DeRenzis and Linda Falleti; a son Bob Brown, a sister Donna (Carl) Brown; five brothers Howard, George, Jack, Bob and Chuck Hayden.

Arrangements are being handled Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes Boardman- Canfield Chapel.
