Marjorie Broadwater Garner (Marge), 78, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, and special friend passed away October 5, 2000.
Born Sept 9, 1922 in Salt Lake City to Marie J. Christensen and Maurice L. Broadwater. She married her best friend and lifetime love, Frank G. Garner April 12, 1941 in Farmington, UT. Dad preceded Mom in death July 2, 1980.
Member of the LDS Church. Marge was employed by EIMAC/Varian for the better part of 30 years retiring in 1986. Since retiring, Mom's focus has been on shopping (especially the ZCMI Wed. sales), babysitting great-grandchildren, golfing with family and friends, Wendover trips and lunches with the girls. Mom's greatest enjoyment came from the times she was surrounded by family and friends. She received great satisfaction in helping others. She was a compassionate and caring person. She never compromised her values.
She is survived by her son, Frank Jr. (Linda); 3 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jerry Eugster, Colleen (Carl) Whiteman; brother, Jay Broadwater; sister-in-law, MaryLou Broadwater; uncle, Laurel Perdin; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by husband; parents; and brothers, Gordon and Ronald Broadwater.
Services will be held Tuesday Oct 10, 2000, noon, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services at Larkin Mortuary. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
