Benjamin Thomas Bishop, 33, Stiritz, died at 2 pm Wednesday, January 11, 1995 in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Services will be in Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mr. Bishop had worked for the U.S. Post Office in West Frankfort. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City, VFW, Knights of Columbus, and he was a Navy veteran.
He was born August 16, 1961 in Herrin to Loren and Georgina Francescon Bishop. He married Laurie Hankins September 21, 1990 in Johnston City and she survives. Other survivors include son Benjamin Thomas Bishop at home, his parents of Stiritz, brothers, David of Johnston City and Daniel of Benton.
