Mr. Sabio, a native of the Philippines, was the widower of Salome S. Sabio.
He taught high school in the Philippines for the government.
Survivors include four sons, Salvadore S. Sabio, Sancho S. Sabio, Samuel S. Sabio and Augurio S. Sabio, all of Virginia Beach; 24 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in Ascension Catholic Church by Rev. Leo Manalo. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
