" Born as the third son of Sicilian Immigrants Leonardo and Rosaria (Digati) Digati) Santo was an active, creative child and graduated from Colt Memorial High School in 1936. After serving in the US Army during World War II, he earned his bachelors degree from Rhode Island School of design and then went on to attain his masters. Mr Digati taught High School Art in the Bristol Public School system for over 35 years. He retired and enjoyed living out the rest of his days hunting for antiques and creating beautiful art for family, friends and in the community. His legacy of teaching and appreciation of art lives on in his many students... and also his 1938 Ford which still runs."
