Patricia Ann Blumenschein, 84, of Marysville died Tuesday morning, December 10th, at Memorial Gables surrounded by her family.
Pat was born August 9, 1935 in Columbus to the late Walter and Dorothy Black McNeal. A 1954 graduate of Central High School in Columbus, she married her loving husband, Ewald "Wally" Blumenschein on May 6, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Columbus.
A longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and the Sunshine Committee, Pat was also a longtime member of TWIG, volunteering many hours at Memorial Hospital. Pat was an avid Ohio State football and basketball fan through the years and, in later years, loved traveling around the country with her husband, Wally. She was a pleasant and good natured person who was always friendly and congenial to anyone who crossed her path.
Her husband preceded her in death June 15, 2015 after 59 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Melanie Blumenschein, and a brother-in-law, Ron Cottrill.
She is survived by four children; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and siblings Walter "Bud" (Ralene) McNeal of Columbus and Betty Lou Cottrill of Grove City.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery next to her husband, Wally.
