FABER George A. Faber, age 80, formerly of Upper Arlington, died peacefully, Friday, February 12, 1999 at his residence. He was a retired General Manager for United Airlines at Port Columbus following 36 years of service. After retirement, he was an Account Representative with Columbus Travel Bureau. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy W. Faber, who died in October 1997, brothers, James and Howard Faber, and sisters, Margaret Luedman and Betty Mae. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Peggy Faber; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Don Carson, all of Columbus; sister, Alice (William) Stiller, Akron, OH; brother-in-law, Vaughan (Irene) Wolverton, FL; sister-in-law, Nancy (Elden) Wyler, Westlake, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Agatha Parish and the Men's Club, Upper Arlington Senior Center and was an avid gardener. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Monday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 1999, at St. Agatha Church, 1860 Northam Road. Monsignor David Funk and Father Rob Willmann Celebrants. Private interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dorothy W. Faber Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Agatha School, 2767 Andover Road, Columbus, OH 43221, in his memory. Prayer Service, 7:30 p.m. Monday at Northwest Chapel.
