Denise was born to Bob and Jani (Hardin) Viereck on May 25, 1963 in Burbank, California. She soon became the older sister to five siblings (Patti, Julie,, Mary, Tommy and Carl). She attended the following schools: Saugus Elementary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and Saugus High ('81). She continued her education at College of the Canyons before receiving a Public Relations degree at San Jose State University.
She met her husband, Lawerence, in 1991 while they both were attending SJSU. He proposed to her on a camping trip in Yosemite in 1996 and they were married in 1998. They have two wonderful children, Chase and Cianna.
Denise passed away, surrounded be her beloved family, on October 24, 2019, after a 10-month battle with uterine cancer. She is preceded in death by her father.
