Alton B. Reynolds Jr. 84 of Unity Maine Passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and daughter. Born Sept. 10, 1935 in Unity, Maine to Alton and Olive (Walton) Reynolds Sr.

Alton was raised in Unity, working with his father delivering milk and working on the farm. He worked at the Hatchery for over 30 years until it closed then had various tractor trailer jobs hauling milk into his retirement years.

He was always very involved in the Unity Fire Dept. and served as Chief for almost 9 years as well as the Unity Ambulance Corp. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need.

Alton completed High School in Unity then went right to work. He loved hunting, fishing, camping snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and spending time with his family. In his later years, he enjoyed going to the Country Jams with Julie and still loved to go camping. He attended Belfast United Methodist Church with Julie and got a lot of enjoyment from it. He loved doing Sudoko’s and unwinding yarn for Julie.

He is survived by is wife Julie Gerry Reynolds of Unity (m:2019), a son Stephen Reynolds and his wife Lori of Pittsfield and a daughter Colleen Connell of Unity. Also by Grandchildren Tessa, Scott, Crissy, Stephanie and Ariel and 6 Great Grandchildren. Also brothers Donald Reynolds and his wife Pam, of St. Albans, Forest Reynolds and his significant other, Sharon Grotton of Jefferson. Also survived by his Best Friend and Companion Betsy, whom he loved very much, and his adopted kitty, Missy. Also special friends; Dick and Sandra Peters, Bill and Liz Fletcher, Norman and Shirley Reynolds, Barbara Lavoie, Zee Hetherman, and Paul Hayes.
He is predeceased by wife, Patricia Reynolds (Myrick); his son, Michael Reynolds; two sisters, Barbara Chadwick and Mildred Sprague and a brother, Randall Reynolds.
There will be a Celebration of Life on the 29th of December at 2:00 p.m. at the Belfast United Methodist Church on Mill Lane in Belfast, which this road is right across from Perry’s Nut House. Burial will take place at a later date.
