BARGER SPRINGS - Mrs. Eva Lois Hogan, 74, formerly of Hinton and Christiansburg, Va., died Friday, Dec. 21, at 4 a.m., at the home of a son, following a long illness.
Born April 1, 1916, at Jumping Branch, she was the daughter of the late Clarence DeeRussie and Bessie Lilly Deeds.
Mrs. Hogan had lived most of her life in Summers County, was a retired cook from the Hinton hospital and was a member of the Cambria Baptist Church in Christiansburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Hogan on July 26, 1985.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Lee (Bobby) Hogan of Oak Hill, Dean Hogan of Christiansburg and Benny Hogan of Barger Springs; two sisters, Ruby Burdette of Summersville and Mildred Burdette of Alderson; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton. Burial will be in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers, donation of sympathy may be made to the Cambria Baptist Church in Christiansburg, VA.
