Tyler was only 3 months old when he died of SIDS*. He was the son of Rodney James Van Nest and Jackie Lynn Vermillion Van Nest. He was also a little brother to his loving big sisters Kendra and Haven. He also leaves his paternal grandparents Randy and Judy Van Nest of Athens; maternal grandmother Debbie Vermillion of Albany;maternal grandfather Gary Vermillion of Albany; maternal greatgrandfather Harold Six of Albany; paternal great grandmother Evelyn Dishong of The Plains: paternal greatgrandparents Scott and Pauline Ervin of Athens.

* Tyler died while in a daycare facility. His family is asking for an investigation into his death as they feel that there are many unanswered questions.

For Tyler

There's a special angel in Heaven
that is a part of me
It is not where I wanted him
but where God wanted him to be

He was here for just a bit
like a nightime shooting star
And though he is in Heaven
It really isn't very far

He touched the hearts of many
as only an angel can do
And I would have held him every minute
if his end I only knew

So I send this special message
to the Heaven up above
Please take care of my little angel
and send him all my love
