Sara Erma (Cossey) Robinson died February 9, 1997, at Salt Lake City, Utah, of causes incident to age.
She was born April 7, 1900 at Rockport, Utah to William Barter Cossey and Precindia (Gibbons) Cossey.
She married Spencer Niven Robinson May 24, 1931 at Salt Lake City and they were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple August 2, 1943. They moved to Twin Falls, Idaho December 1936 and lived there until the death of Spencer in 1991. She then returned to live in Salt Lake. She and Spencer owned and operated the Kimberly Variety Store, Kimberly, Idaho, for many years and were very influential in the lives of many people, especially the youth of the town.
She was a kind, gentle, noble, righteous woman, an example for all her family to follow. She truly loved all of her family and was dearly loved by all of them. She will be greatly missed by friends and family all over the world. Each who was privileged to know her, was always impressed by her sweet spirit.
A descendant of prominent early Utah pioneers, her life spanned from the horse and buggy era to jet airplanes. She was a lifelong member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
She was always a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in Primary and other callings. She loved genealogy and left a wonderful inspiring history of her grandparents, parents and her own life.
She was the mother of two sons, Richard Spencer (Dolores) and Niven James (Vivian), all of Salt Lake City. She has five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; father, mother, eight brothers, William, Albert, James, Thomas, Hyrum, George, Harold, Lyle, and Clark Siddoway; and two sisters, Matilda and Lyla.
A viewing will be held 10 to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 1997 at the Cannon 9th Ward chapel, 1250 West 1400 South, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be at 12 noon.
