Though Lucy W. Burnside's headstone is now very difficult to read, she definitely died after 1870. She appeared in the 1880 census with her sister Frances Boal, as well as in the May 19, 1881 edition of the Centre Democrat as an "alive, and unmarried" daughter of Thomas & Eleanor Burnside. Strangely, her estate probate/administration is not listed in the Centre Co. index. A color-inverted enhancement of the dates on her headstone suggest her death year to be 1890 vs. 1870
