Her siblings included: John, Henry, William Taylor, Drucilla, Sarah, James, Charles, and Susan Catherine. Later on the Mathews family moved to Jackson County, Florida.
Martha Ann was married to John David Jordan, Jr. (who possibly died at a young age). They had a son, Ezikel Bailey Jordan who was born on March 21, 1871. There is a possibility that Martha Ann married twice.
She was buried at Friendship Church Cemetery beside her husband. The cemetery was called Gunns Methodist Church cemetery at one time. It is located about 6 miles SE of Grangerburg,Alabama. Also 1 mile north of the AL & FL state line. Martha Ann Mathews is listed on her tombstone.
