WARRENTON, Ga. -- George Thomas Poole, 68, husband of the late Mrs. Florrie Williams Poole, died Tuesday at his residence here.
Funeral services will be conducted Wedensday at 2 p.m. from the Carl B. Mock Funeral Home in Warrenton by the Rev. Sanford McDonald. Interment will be in the Sallie Hill Cemetery. Mr. Poole had been a resident of Warrenton for the past 15 years. He was born in Glascock County, Jan. 6, 1891. He was a member of the Gibson Methodist Church and the son of the late Robert L. and Rachel Coxwell Poole. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Louise Johnson of Warrenton; five sisters, Mrs. Ola Williams of Gibson, Mrs. Mamie Norris of Thomson,Mrs. Annie Lou Williams of Stapleton, Mrs. Arvelle Usry of Thomson; two brothers, Glenn Poole and Joe Poole, both of Gibson; one grandson, James Marlin Johnson of Decatur; two great-grandsons, James G. and Wilford Russell Johnson, both of Decatur, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are James English, Vernon Abbott, Pete Williford, Ware Norris, James Poole and Horace Williams.
