Katherine Young, 72, died on Sunday, July 16, 11:45 P.M. at the Good Will Nursing Home, Cambridge City, Ind. after an illness of one week. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 19, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lowmansville Enterprise Baptist Church with Hood Allen officiating. Burial was held in the Young Cemetery at Lowmansville, under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home. Born at Flat Gap on August 7, 1894, she was the daughter of William B. and Leota Barker Skaggs. She was formerly a resident of Wittensville and a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. Arthur Young, her husband, died October 31, 1962. Survivors include two sons, Danny B. Young and Thurman Young, both of El Paso, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Violet Conley of New Paris, Ohio, Mrs. Nell Seal of Cambridge City, Ind. and Mrs. Imalee Scarberry of New Paris, Ohio. Also surviving are three brothers, Archie Skaggs of Tampa, Fla., Blucher? Skaggs of Ironton, Ohio, South Skaggs of New Castle, Ohio and one sister, Mrs. Dora Daniels of Fairborn, Ohio and nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
