Beverley Robinson Armstrong, the son of Judge John R. Armstrong and Louisa Robinson, was born on February 19, 1875 in Saint John, New Brunswick. The stories of his ancestors, the Robinsons of New York, is told elsewhere on this site.

His right foot was amputated after he was wounded during the Boer War.

Beverley married Wenefrede Lloyd-Jones, who was buried with him, on July 6, 1910. They are buried in the cemetery that he was a director of.

David and his brother, Hugh, served with their father's unit during World War II. David became Commanding Officer in the 1950's.

David was married to Elizabeth Conrad Kohler, a native of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She died Mar 24, 2006, in Vancouver, B.C..
