Mr. Alfred Key Finley

Mr. Alfred Key Finley, of Lanett, died on Aug. 30 at EAMC-Lanier Memorial Hospital, Valley. Funeral services are scheduled for Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel, Valley with the Rev. Willie G. Wimberly officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery, Valley. Davis Memorial Mortuary directing. Public viewing is scheduled for Sept. 4 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel. Mr. Finley was a graduate of Rehobeth High School and Opelika Technical School, where he earned the Certificate in Carpentry/Cabinet Making. He worked for West Point Pepperell for over 35 years and was also the owner of Alfred Finley Cabinet Shop. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Beatrice H. Finley; and children, the honorable Angelia (Terrance) Thomas, Spencer (Stephanie) Johnson and Shannon (Ronnie) Johnson, all of Lanett; grandchildren, Marctavious Finley, Devuntae Finley, Terrance Thomas, Jr., Amir Ware, Jalen Scott, Corneshia Jackson, Tiana Jackson, Shabritney Reed, Yasmin Johnson and Joshua Finley; brothers, the Rev. Walter (Dorothy) Finley, of Panama City, Florida and Jessie (Cynthia) Reese, of Valley; sisters, Geraldine (Billy) Finley and Reatha (John) Johnson, both of Waco, Texas; brothers-in-law, Henry (Betty) Harper, Carl Harper and Ulysses (Latonya) Harper; sisters-in-law, Marie Edwards, Rosie Lee Trammell, Wanda (Hosea) McKinney and Lucille, Finley; and, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
