Funeral of a Veteran of 1812.
The funeral of Thomas Britton Larzalere, a veteran of the war of 1812, took place yesterday from his late residence, No. 2339 Pennsylvania avenue. The remains were deposited in Fernwood Cemetery, having been accompanied to the grave by a large concourse, prominent among whom was a delegation from the Veteran's Association of the War of 1812. The deceased was born in Bucks county in 1790, and was one of the first to enlist in that struggle. He was engaged in a number of battles, and was promoted for gallant services at Marcus Hook. In 1825 he made this city his home. He worked at his trade, that of a carpenter, until recently. A little more than a week ago, however, he fell while crossing a culvert at Twenty-fourth street and Pennsylvania avenue, and received injuries which resulted in his death on last Thursday. He leaves an aged wife and a daughter who is far past the prime of life.
