Edwin Michel Sutter
Edwin Michel Sutter, 67, of Birmingham, died at his home there early Monday following a short illness. He was the son of Joseph Francis Sutter, an early resident of Montgomery and of Montgomery County. For a number of years he resided in Robinson Springs, and later moved to Birmingham where he became associated with the Claim Department of the L. and N. Railroad, a position he held for 30 years.
Surviving are his widow, Mary Lou Michell Sutter; seven sons, Joseph Dudley, of Montgomery, Edwin Michel, Jr., Wilbur Mitchell, Paul. Allen, Howard Eugene and Cecil Baldwin, all of Birmingham, and Thomas Meriwether Sutter, of New Orleans; and one daughter, Mrs. Rowland Long, of Birmingham.
The funeral was held from the residence Wednesday with interment at Elmwood Cemetery.
