Edgard Alves was born in Campinas, Brazil in 1928. The younger of two children born to Edgard and Ambrosina. He married Lucia Huet de Bacellar in 1962. They moved to California, USA later in the 1960s and had one son. In the last five years of his life, Edgard was cared for my his son and daughter-in-law in California. He died in their home and his ashes remain with them. He was an incredible human being, full of love for those he held dear and generous is all ways.
He was a civil engineer and helped with the creation of Brazil's capitol, Brasilia. In the US, he worked for the Metropolitan Water District in Los Angeles, California.
