John H. Scarbrough, 65 years old, died suddenly at his residence, R.R. 3, Terre Haute. He is survived by the widow, Nellie; seven sons, Myrl and LeRoy Scarbrough, both of Terre Haute; William Scarbrough of Toledo, Ohio; James Scarbrough of Indianapolis, Archie Scarbrough of Meridian, Miss.; Sgt. Fredrick Scarbrough, with the Army in Alaska, and Cpl. John E. Scarbrough, with the Army in Japan; Seven brothers, Myrl, Warren, Charles and Raymond Scarbrough, all of Terre Haute; Fredrick Scarbrough of Farmersburg, James Scarbrough of Pimento and George Scarbrough of R.R. 2, Terre Haute; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Grige and Mrs. edna Graham, both of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Clara Funk of R.R. 2, Terre Haute, and 12 grandchildren. The body was taken to the Gillis Memory Chapel."
