He was a retired specialist in Animal Husbandry with forty years of service with Cherry Hospital and was a graduate of Penn State University. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher, a Commander of the American Legion for three terms, and a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge #112 A.F. & A.M. He was also a member of the Goldsboro (NC) Golf Club, and was a retired U. S. Army Captain, having served during World War II.
Funeral services were held at 11 AM on Monday, January 15, 1996 at the Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. John Paschall and the Rev. Bob Bame officiating. Entombment took place at Wayne Memorial Park. He was survived by his wife, Mary Sutton Beeman, and brothers Roy Jefferson. Beeman (Burkburnett TX) and Clarence Kay Beeman (Davenport IA).
