Full name believed to be William Morrow Craig.
Born in Kentucky approximately 1813, according to censuses.
Have found no Kentucky government records or other relatives, thus far.
Have not found connections to Illinois/Indiana Craigs.
Perhaps parents came straight from a 1700s Pennsylvania Scottish migration.

Migrated to Virginia according to Franklin County marriage records (1839).
Identified as marrying Martha Le Seuer Woodson, Franklin County, Virginia.
Also includes father Benjamin Woodson permission letter.

Confirmed as marrying Martha Le Seuer Woodson, Franklin County, Virginia.
Traveled from Franklin County, Virginia with the Woodsons, to Monroe County, Missouri.

Assumed to be the brother of fellow traveler James W. Craig #101435381.
James W. Craig has a marriage record in Franklin County, Virginia also.
James W. Craig married sister of William's wife, Mary Royall Woodson.

Have found no other Virginia government records, thus far.
1830 Census lists only 2 Craigs in county, Thomas and Polly.
1830 Census lists few Craigs in surrounding counties and state.
Have not found the exact location of wife's family Virginia farm.

William's farm was located somewhere near Madison, Monroe County. (Censuses)
This farm would have been N.W. of Benjamin Woodson's Monroe Farm.
William had all 9 children with Martha.
Martha died in 1867 at age 51.
Martha LeSeuer Woodson Craig may be buried on or around one of these two farms.
Neither headstone has been found on the Woodson Farm Cemetery.

William married second wife Malinda Lightfoot, a year later 1868.
Lightfoot is also the married name of daughter Isabelle V. Craig.
William then died 5 years later in 1873.

Final census lists Grand River Township of 1870.
Grand River appears to be today's DeWitt Township, Carroll County, Missouri.
Map shows final farm estate located halfway between City of Dewitt and Bosworth.

Farmhouse was on the outside curve of today's highway 310 and 335.

Two sons obtained farms across the street, 1896 Plat Map.
