Freddie Joe Powell
MONTEREY - Services for Freddie Joe Powell will be at 2 p.m. today in Old Monterey Christian Church with the Rev. Clyde Grammon officiating. Burial will be in White Cemetery under direction of Comer, Ferriday.
Mrs. Powell, 62, of Monterey died Tuesday in Riverland Medical Center, Ferriday.
She was a member of Monterey Garden Club and Old Monterey Christian Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Powell of Monterey; her mother, Mildred Green of Monterey; six daughters, Sandra Lanehart of Gould, Ark., Melanie Walker of Orange, Texas, and Lisa Vogt, Lori Powell, Theresa Powell and Niki Powell, all of Monterey; one brother, Gary Green of Monterey; two sisters, Sadie Jones and Georgia Jones, both of Monterey; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services today in the church.
