Kenneth Duane Hanshew Sr., 83, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020, at McLean County Nursing Home.
His visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home,
Le Roy, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, January 13, 2020, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Kenneth was born September 29, 1936, in Fairbury, Illinois, to Paul and Stella Birch Hanshew. He married Wilma Faye Repetto on January 30, 1959. She passed away July 13, 1999.
He is survived by his son, Kenny (Debbie) Hanshew Jr. of Le Roy, Illinois; his daughter, Theresa (Terry) Doerscher of Round Rock, Texas; his grandchildren, Jackie, Jordon, Matthew, and Danielle Hanshew, and Alyssa Doerscher; his great-grandchild, Braxton Reynolds; and his brother, Jack (Cindy) Beckhoff of Reynolds, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Kenneth was an U.S. Army veteran serving from 1955-1957.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
