Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Robinson, 82, of 10314 Old Liberty Road, Frederick, died Saturday, June 28 at her home. She was the wife of the late George Robinson. Born April 27, 1921, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Orem and Fannie E. Jordan Orem Carroll.

She grew up in Frederick and was a 1938 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a lifelong member of Quinn Chapel AME Church. She served on the Steward Board, Stewardess Board, sang in the Senior Choir, was active in the prison ministry and served as missionary president for many years.

Surviving are five sons, Kenneth Robinson and wife Martha of Catonsville, Michael Robinson and wife Polly of Westchester, Pa., Richard Robinson of Frederick, Robert Robinson of Long Beach, Calif., and Timothy Robinson of Las Vegas; three daughters, Carolyn Barbour of Atlanta, Alysia Smallwood of Frederick, and Brenda Smith and husband Jonathan of Frederick; one brother, Harry E. Orem Jr. and wife Leda of Mount Pleasant; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Robinson and George Robinson Jr.; and one granddaughter. She will be remembered by Anna Hurd and husband Herman of Frederick, Ruth G. Brown of Frederick, and her cousin, Virginia Smith.

Friends may call from 12 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at Quinn Chapel AME Church on East Third Street. The Rev. Luke J. Robinson will officiate. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.
