Funeral for Lottie Estelle Tyer, 90, of Groves and formerly of Timpson was held at 1:30 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Timpson with the Rev. Clark Stricklin officiating. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson.
Tyer died September 16, 2005 at her residence. Born July 25, 1915, in the Rehobeth community, she was the daughter of George and Myrtis Wright Rhodes.
She was married to Eugene Tyer and he preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Edward Tyer of Spring; daughters, Paula Philen of Kingwood and Janis Epperson of Groves; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Taylor Funeral Home.
