LINDA "MAXINE" EASTABROOKS
Linda "Maxine" Eastabrooks, 78, of Richmond, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020, at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City.
Maxine was born on October 22, 1941, in Richmond, the daughter of Arbie and Virginia Elizabeth (Williams) O'Dell. She was united in marriage to Clarence William "C.W." Eastabrooks, Jr., of Richmond on March 21, 1975; he preceded her in death on September 25, 2016.
Survivors include: three sons: Royce Eastabrooks of Kansas City, Chad Eastabrooks of Richmond, and Brian (Cinda) Eastabrooks of Odessa; daughter, Connie (George) Nelson of Excelsior Springs; 13 grandchildren; great-grandson, Ayden Yates; and two sisters, Beverly Ann (Fred) Saunders of Blue Field, WV, and Mary Jean Fulkerson of Joplin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, David Dale Yates.
Maxine was reared and educated in the area of her birth. She was a housewife and homemaker. According to her boys, she was the best mom ever, always a loving mother to her family, especially her grandchildren. Maxine was a great cook. She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was of the Christian faith.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Visitation with funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M., with services to follow at 2:00P.M. An Order of the Eastern Star Ceremony will be held at 1:45 P.M. during visitation prior to funeral services. Burial will be Richmond Memory Gardens.
