Ruby Cathleen Watkins 79, daughter of Winfred T. and Lillie Johnston Haines, was born Dec. 22, 1903 at Crocker, and passed away on Friday, Feb. 11, 1963 at her home in Crocker. On Sept. 17, 1924 she was united in marriage in Miller County to Henry Patrick Watkins who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1968.
Mrs. Watkins is survived by one son, Bradley of Iberia; one grandson, Bruce of Tulsa, Okla.; one granddaughter, Valerie Watkins of Jefferson City; one brother, Hadley Haines of Kansas City, Kan., and one sister, Helen Hughes of Crocker.
Mrs. Watkins attended school at Iberia and also the Iberia Academy. She taught in rural schools for two years, was a charter member of the Fremont Watkins American Legion Auxiliary Post 105, a member of the Pulaski County Area Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Iberia VFW. She was also a member of the Crocker Baptist Church in Crocker.
