William H. “Bill” Bauer Jr, 92, of Arthurdale, died Saturday, January 4th, 2020 at Windy Hills Village - Assisted Living in Kingwood, WV. He was born July 29, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late William H Bauer Sr. and Nola (Fetty) Bauer of Fairmont.

A long-term resident of the Arthurdale Community, and graduate of East Fairmont High School and the WV Business College, Bill was a member of the Arthurdale Community Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, Elder, and was treasurer for 17 years. He also led 4-H and Cub Scout groups.

An accountant by trade, he began his career with American Bridge Company in Pittsburgh, and was a long-time employee of Preston Poultry and Feed in Reedsville and Sterling Processing in Oakland Md. He retired from Glotfelty Tire in Oakland.

Bill is survived by his six children: Linda Videtto (Mark); William H.”Hank” Bauer III, (Beverly); Ed Bauer (Jill); Jack Bauer; Suzy Bauer-Roberts (Marcus); and Nancy Kelly (Jon); twelve grandchildren: Marc Videtto (Natalia Klentoukh); Tony Videtto (Traci); Alex Videtto (Emily); Erin Kneeland (James); Justin Bauer (Millie Germaine), Edward Bauer Jr. (Anita); Courtney Snyder (Stephen); Carrie Parsons (Wade); Kendall Olson (Mark); Mickie Powell (Richard); Krissy Bauer (David Uphole); and Robbie Kelly and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving: sister, Patty Steele of Fairmont, WV and brother, Kenny Bauer (Joanel) of Ocala, FL.

In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his wife of 62 years Barbara G. (Zickefoose) in 2011; brother-in-law Dave Steele of Fairmont; and two great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Morgan Funeral Home in Reedsville, WV on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 from 2 – 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Rev. David D. Spence officiating. Interment will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery.
