BERRINGER, LEO H., 85, St. Benedict, passed away January 4, 2020. Born November 16, 1934, in St. Benedict, the son of Verlo and Beatrice Fay (Rummel) Berringer. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Patricia Rellick; and brother, Ronald Berringer. Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Agnes (Stickler) Berringer; daughter, Jilinda (Eugene) Frye, Indiana; sons, Robert (LeeAnn) Berringer, Richmond, VA and John (Kirstie) Berringer, Cranberry Twp.; grandchildren, Aubree Stapleton and Hayley Frye; Brock, Noah and Macy Berringer; Trey and Joel Berringer; and great-granddaughter, Quinn Stapleton. Proudly served in the Air Force as a jet mechanic for the "Thunderbirds". Retired bookkeeper for North Cambria Fuel Co. Member and Elder of St. Benedict Presbyterian Church. Leo was the last surviving original member of the St. Benedict Community Development Organization, where he worked alongside his friends and neighbors for the betterment of their town. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who proudly led his family with his strong faith in God. Friends will be received from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria where military honors will be conducted at 6 p.m. Funeral services celebrating Leo's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict Presbyterian Church. Pastor Marty Cartmel officiating. Committal, Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Leo to St. Benedict Presbyterian Church.
