Born May 16, 1938 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Myron and Leona(McDonald Cole. She married Ray B. Hauk on April 27, 1959 and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Todd(Christine)Hawk of Shelbyville; 2 grandchildrn, Kody Hauk, Raivin Hauk; and 3 great-grandchildren, Caydenn, Karter, and Rylinn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Pauline Newton.
Mrs. Hauk was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of this area.
She graduated from Waldron High School in 1956, and was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church in Geneva.
Janice enjoyed growing and working with flowers, and working crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road with Kevin Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects on Sunday evening, January 19, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
