Funeral services for Bettie J. Maddox, 84, of Bryan will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan, with the Rev. David Murphy officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Burial will be in College Station Cemetery. Mrs. Maddox passed away Monday, July 23, 2007 at her home.

Bettie was born in Robertson County and graduated from Franklin High School. She lived in Bryan since 1941. She was a homemaker and was a bookkeeper for Piggly Wiggly, Gus Elliott's U-Pak-M and Nathan Franklin's Air Conditioning. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, worked in the nursery and was a member and had served as secretary and treasurer for the Reapers Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Maddox Bonjo of Bryan.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Morris Maddox of Bryan; one son and daughter-in-law, Glynn and Mary Francis Maddox of Waco; one granddaughter, Tammy Threadgill and husband, Randy, of the Blackjack Community; three grandsons, Roger Maddox and wife, Trish, Kevin Maddox and wife, Nicole, and David Maddox, all of Waco; and five great-grandchildren, Benjamin Threadgill of the Blackjack Community, Nick Maddox, Zack Maddox, Tyler Maddox and Carter Maddox, all of Waco.

Pallbearers will be Roger Maddox, Kevin Maddox, David Maddox, Randy Threadgill, Benjamin Threadgill and Barry Threadgill.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
