He was born October 20, 1939 in Rochester, Pennsylvania, one of 14 children, born to Herbert and Mary Vogel Gaus.
Mr. Gaus served his country by serving in the U. S. Air Force.
He was a member of the Laborers International Union, Local #818 of Knoxville and a house painter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Garner Gaus, June 19, 2018.
He is survived by sons, Mike Gaus and wife Robin and Jason Gaus; daughter Rebecca Gaus; brother Jack Gaus and 6 grandchildren, Jason Gaus Jr, Justin Gaus, Jessica Gaus, Jordan Gaus, Jaidev Gaus and James Gaus and several great-grandchildren.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
