Lance Cpl Faris Hytham Abbassi entered the U.S. Marine Corps and was shipped to Boot Camp on November 7, 2014. He was most recently a member of the Wounded Warriors Battalion West, based out of Camp Pendleton.
In the early morning hours of December 29th, the car Faris was a passenger in crashed in a single-vehicular accident when the driver lost control on the President George Bush Turnpike in Irving. All three occupants were rushed to the hospital. Sadly, Faris succumbed to his injuries the following day.
One of the last tweets Faris posted on Twitter stated "Have patience, God is not finished yet ~ Phi 1:6".
