Christine retired from Precision Components in 2016 after twenty-three years of employment. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and most of all enjoyed baking with her grandchildren. She was known for her selfless kind spirit. She greatly enjoyed taking care of people and animals, especially her cats.
Surviving are her beloved husband of forty-five years, Clifford Zombek of Braidwood, whom she married June 15, 1974; her loving daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Hill of Essex, Jessica (Kerry) Schott of Essex, and Julia Zombek of Braidwood; her cherished grandchildren, Klayton, Lillian, and Kayla Schott; sister-in-laws, Anna Kruk of Johnsberg, IL and Barbara Kruk of Crestwood, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one grand-daughter, Kaelyn Schott; brothers, William and Robert Kruk; and sister, Kathleen Ifland.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, Friday, January 24, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be directed to: ASPCA PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
