Buried: 07/26/07. Survived by wife of 62 years and a son

Preceded in death by his father Edwin C.Hunt Sr.Mother Floy E.(Lawhon)Hunt and brother Jack L.Hunt.
Ed went to Sunset High School in Dallas,then in the summer of 1941 he joined the US Navy,went to boot camp in San Diego,Calif.after he went up the coast of Calif.to San Francisco where he went aboard the USS Pennsylvania BB-38 stationed in Pearl Harbor Hawaii.Dec.7,1941.The day Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan.His ship was in dry dock,but took a 500 lb.incendiary bomb.He was a Pearl Harbor survivor.
He was a member of Trinity Valley masonic lodge,Scottish Rite,and played the drums in the Hella Temple Shrine Drum,and Bugle corps.for many,many years.Ed was a member of American Legion Post 275 and life member of VFW post 6796 in Dallas.
5th photo of my father was taken in 1988 for the 100 years anniversary book of Hella Temple Shrine.Ed was also a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors assn.that had meetings in Arlington Tex..
