Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Lawrence Adams, Sr. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Little Flower with Fr. Ramaji Shoury officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Hessmer under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:00 p.m. at Melancon Funeral Home. On Friday, visitation will be observed at Church of the Little Flower from 8:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.

Mr. Adams, age 92, of Evergreen, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at his residence. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired Supervisor with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development of service with over thirty years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Gauthier Adams; his son, Joey Adams; his grandson, Justin Adams; his parents, Robert, Sr. and Pearl Beauvais Adams; his brothers, Ewell Adams and Robert Adams, Jr.; his sister, Vivian Adams Taylor and his step-brother, Melvin Harris.

He is survived by his three sons, David Adams of Marksville, Gerald Paul Adams of Evergreen and Lawrence "Junior" Adams, Jr. and wife, Carol, of Hessmer; his half-sisters, Carol Adams Tassin and husband, Darrel, of Evergreen, Carmen Adams Williams of Kenner, Lillie Adams Craig and husband, Harold, of Lafayette and Sheila Adams Bordelon and husband, Steve, of Lafayette; his two step-sisters, Pauline Mason of Baton Rouge and Alice Faye Book and husband, Larry, of Pineville; four grandchildren, Trinity Adams, Chris Adams, Amy Dauzat and Amanda Vead; eight great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.
