Myrtie Mae Stovall, 88, passed away at the Mississippi Care Center of Morton on the morning of Monday, July 23, 2007. Visitation will begin at 10 am today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services are at 1 pm today at the funeral home, with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm today at the Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton is in charge of arrangements.
Myrtie was preceded in death by her spouse, Mark D. Stovall; parents, Ward and Ammie Vaughn; and her brother, Coleman Vaughn.
Myrtie was born on December 12, 1918 in Calhoune City. She lived in Morton for the last six years, moving from Pelahatchie. Myrtie was of the Baptist faith.
Myrtie is survived by her five sisters, Luella Renfrow of Morton, Jess Reed of Jackson, Pauline Smiley of Pearcel, Texas, Maxine Spell of Crystal Springs and Grace Williams of San Diego, Calif.; many nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
